Dependent upon the resources available for distribution, Wethersfield Dollars for Scholars offers a limited number of competitive scholarships to those applicants who best meet the criteria of financial need, academic performance, school activities, community service, and other criteria specified by the donors.
There is no assurance that all students who complete the entire application process will receive a scholarship.
Students MUST complete an online profile created from this website.
Upon completion of the student profile, students will be considered for national as well as local scholarships.
We ask students, parents and counselors to read the information below in order to complete this process smoothly.
- You may start your online profile: November 1, 2023
- You will be able to view the scholarships you are eligible for after you have filled out all the necessary information.
- Students must submit requests for information to counselors by: February 18, 2024
- Deadline for scholarship submissions to Wethersfield Dollars for Scholars is: March 29, 2024
- Award Night is: Thursday, May 30, 2024! (attendance is mandatory)
- Acknowledgement Deadline is: June 9, 2024

Completion of the FAFSA Form is MANDATORY!
If the FAFSA form is not submitted and completed, you will not be considered for any scholarships.
Students MUST attach a copy of their FAFSA report to the document section of their profile!!

Please be advised that there is a $200,000 FAFSA EFC maximum to apply for a need based scholarship.
A FAFSA amount over $200,000 will only be eligible for a merit based scholarships.
Students must upload the form to the document section on their profile so we can verify their FAFSA EFC amount.

Submission of a profile does not guarantee the award of a scholarship. Awarding scholarships is based on students meeting all profile requirements, amount of money available and the number of qualified student applicants. All awards are selected by an applicant ID number and completely anonymous! Final selection of recipients will be made by a review committee of Wethersfield Dollars for Scholars and must be accepted by the student before June 1, 2024
